Renowned American entertainer, Jerry Lewis has died. He is reported to have passed away on Sunday morning, August 21.

Jerry Lewis whose career spanned six decades is popularly known for comic movies such as ‘The Nutty Professor’.

Jerry who battled with a lot of heart-related ailments during his lifespan died of a heart condition known as ischemic cardiomyopathy. This occurs when the heart is unable to pump sufficient blood throughout the rest of the body due to a coronary artery disease.

The 91-year old who was critically acclaimed as an actor, humanitarian,writer and loved by millions died in Las Vegas.
