Okowa bags award from UNN

The Governor of Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa has been conferred with the ‘Dignity of Man’ award by the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN).

He received the award on Friday in Enugu State during the 57th Founders’ Day Celebration of the University, in recognition of his activities to make life better for humanity.

Okowa thanked the University for the award and urged that equal opportunities be given to everyone in order to restore the dignity of man.

Enugu State Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi congratulated Governor Okowa for the awarded, which was presented to him by the Vice Chancellor of UNN, Prof Benjamin Ozumba.

Also present at the occasion were Prof Uchenna Azikiwe, wife of the founder of the University, Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe; former Governor of Rivers State, Mr Donald Duke and the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III who delivered the ‘Dignity of Man’ lecture titled, ‘Restoring the Dignity of Man: Education as a veritable tool’.
