The Federal Government under President Buhari is set to commission a couple of projects in Edo state this week. This includes a cement plant and a fertilizer plant.

According to the official twitter handle of the Federal Government @Asorock, the Fertilizer plant is the 12^th to be revived since President Buhari launched the Presidential Fertilizer Initiative in December 2016.

The stated goal of the Presidential Fertilizer Initiative was/is to achieve the local production of one million metric tonnes of blended Nitrogen, Phosphorous and Potassium (NPK) Fertiliser for the 2017 wet season farming, and an additional 500,000 metric tonnes for dry season farming.
