Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) forward, Kylian Mbappe, has won the highly coveted Golden Boy award, beating off his Manchester City rival, Gabriel Jesus, and Barcelona rival, Ousmane Dembele.
Since the 18-year-old’s move to PSG from Monaco, he has netted four times in eight games. His move to PSG is expected to be completed at the end of the season.
The Golden Boy award is usually given to a young footballer below the age of 21, playing in Europe and observed to have been the most impressive during a calendar year.
The award has been won in the past by players such as Lionel Messi, Anthony Martial and Renato Sanchez.
